Weekend trip to Austin, TX

This past weekend I went down to Austin, TX to see my mom. We spent the weekend watching movies, doing some girl talk, eating at delicious restaurants, and shopping so much that our whole bodies ached! I mean seriously though, we shopped... a lot. So much that I had to pack an extra suitcase and check it at the airport. It was so much fun though and it's always fun to see my mom. She, at the ripe old age of 50 40 is a snowbird. During the summers she is here is Wisconsin, but during the winters she escapes the "frozen tundra" (as she so lovingly calls Wisconsin) and heads south like the birds.

I decided to only take pictures on my phone this trip because I knew we would mostly be shopping, so I didn't want to carry around my heavy camera all day :) Enjoy my quick trip down south!

We went to Bess Bistro for Brunch on Sunday. If you don't know, it's Sandra Bullock's restaurant... and my waffles we delish!

 

Taco Cabana... I grew up loving this place. Last year while in San Antonio I had it again and it was very disappointing :(

 

There are these trailers everywhere. Some are BBQ, some are taco stands, but this one was a cupcake trailer... yum! And so cute!
